Hike at Humboldt Bay Wildlife Refuge

Humboldt Bay Wildlife Refuge Nature Walk

Take Refuge on a casual walk, along a flat trail, in the expansive and calming natural scenery of the Humboldt Bay Wildlife Refuge. No reservations required, but it is helpful to let walk leader Doris know you plan to attend. Alternatively send a message here.
We’ll see birds de jour-(of the day), and possibly otters.   
Bring your binoculars for the close-up view of birds.  There are benches along trail ~ 1/4 mile from the Visitor Center for sitting, viewing, or meditating. Bathrooms are available.
Meet at 8:30am in the Visitor Center’s parking lot
OR
Meet at 7:45am at AZG 740 Park Ave parking area for carpooling.


Directions: Hwy 101 South and take Hookton Rd exit toward Loleta. Then turn right Eel River Dr, then turn left onto Visitor Center Access Rd (parallel to the highway) The Visitor Center’s parking lot is about 1 mile on the left.
