Foundations of Practice - The 8-fold Path is the path of trustworthiness

This series is designed to support you establish and develop your practice, to understand the foundational teachings, to participate in both formal and informal practice opportunities, and to study the personal and the cultural facets of the Soto Zen traditions.

Beginning with understanding the relationship of the four Bodhisattva
Vows to the original teachings of the Buddha (the Four Noble Truths), in
this series we will study each facet of the Eight-fold Path. Our capacity for
clarifying our views, thoughts, speech, actions, livelihoods, efforts,
mindfulness and concentration determines our capacity for being stable
and trustworthy. Specifically, we will address the ways in which supporting
and encouraging each other on the Path makes for a wholesome and
reliable community of practitioners, ready to be of service in the world.
