Submission Guidelines
Over the years, we've found that following a few guidelines when sending in your website notices or
Voices submissions really helps make things go more smoothly and
easily on our end when it comes time to work up items for the website or a new issue of Rin Shin-ji Voices. We appreciate your
taking the time
to look over these
guidelines. If you have any questions, you can email webmaster -at- arcatazengroup -dot- org and we'll be glad to help.
Website Guidelines
These guidelines are useful for when you are submitting info for the website: announcements of sesshin,
meetings,
events, classes, teacher/student talks, etc. This is the info that is most often sent through the azglist address. If at all possible,
it's easier
if you send a separate email about the announcement. This way, we can be sure that it is indeed something that is supposed to go on the
website (instead of
making that decision ourselves). Also, you will be able to tell us what contact details you want to appear on the website, which are
often
different
than those sent through the azglist.

 Tell us what contact info you want to appear on the website. If you are submitting an item which includes your full
name, email
address
and/or telephone number, please indicate if you want that information on the
website. If you do not indicate how you want your information to appear, the announcement on the website will not include
your last name, email, or phone number (the general contact info for the AZG will be used instead).
 Please be sure to use your spellchecker before submitting your piece, and that any non-English words are spelled
correctly.
 Submit your announcement in the body of your email (preferred) or in Word (.doc) format.
Rin Shin-ji Voices Guidelines
Items published in Rin Sin-ji Voices are by AZG members and the visiting teachers and in
some way
reflect zen practice. Format can be very varied (i. e., poetry, book reviews, articles, artwork, photography, etc.).
 All submissions must be sent in, complete, by the deadline.
 Please be sure to use your spellchecker before submitting your piece, and that any non-English words are spelled
correctly.
 When possible, please submit electronically (through email). Send submissions to Michael (mmquam -at- sbcglobal -dot-
net). Printed submissions may be mailed to Michael Quam, 1429 Underwood Ct., McKinleyville, CA. 95519.
 Please submit your digital copy in the body of your email (preferred) or in Word (.doc) format.
 Submit any pictures which accompany your item in separate files, not in the body of the
work.
 If you have quoted someone else and/or used someone else's graphics/pictures, please give the full attribution for inclusion with
your piece.
 Include your full name and the full name of your submission in your submission itself. If you do not want your full
name on the Internet, please
indicate how you want your name to appear (i. e., initials only, or first name and last initial, etc.).
 If you are submitting an item which includes your email address and/or telephone number, please indicate if you want that
information on the website as well as in the print edition. If you do not indicate how you want your information to appear, the website will
not include your last name, email, or phone number (the general contact info for the AZG will be used instead).
